MoneyVidya.com:A Stock Picking Community For The Investor, By The Investor

My fellow buddies have created a social networking forum for indian stock markets.Heres all the details mentioned below.

Stock Picking is as much about community awareness as it is about understanding the fundamentals and technicals of the market.The market is flooded with the so called experts giving their million dollar BUY and SELL calls every minute.But, is their always a rationale behind their calls.Gone are the days when people accepted any advice just because it was given somebody claiming to be the next Warren Buffet.Times have changed and people have grown aware that a solid track record and a reasonable anaylsis is required when it comes to following Stock Advices.
MoneyVidya- A Social Stock Community has bridged the gap by giving the power to the users to make their own Stock Picks along with their own investment rationale.The rating system at moneyvidya is supposedly top notch and the ratings are based on the pick return,performance.This makes it easier to follow people who have a consistent track record.Along with that, Moneyvidya has a lot of other features which makes it a perfect place to discuss anything and everything related to Stock Markets.You can create Polls,start Discussions,ask Questions and write you own blogs.All these mediums can be used effectivly to arrive at a general community sentiment.
The UI is very user friendly and navigation works well.

However, for the idea to be succesful, a lot of user activity is required which it is lacking given that it is fairly new and an 'Only by Invite' community as of now.Hopefully, with more user participation and activity, the site should solve its purpose of Creating a consensus on Stock Picking and promote Stock market awareness.Also,The Experts Interview/Chat feature is something that the site lacks which I find can really enhance the user experience.
Let's hope that the future releases take care of that and a true Social Community is formed for Stock Market Enthusiasts!
