Hind Rectifiers,Ramkrishna Forgings and AVT Natural Products:Future growth prospects and outlook

1)Scripscan:Hind Rectifiers Limited

Story:HRL develops, designs, manufactures and markets, power semiconductors, power electronic equipments and railway transportation equipments and caters to companies in core industries like electronics, railways, power, telecommunications, steel, cement, etc. It also has an export market spanning Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Columbia, Italy, Malaysia, Middle East, the USA and UK.The stock has been languishing since the mid-March carnage. Hind Rectifiers has an impressive client list, especially in the railway transportation sector, which is its main area of operation and keeps its order book ticking. Its down a 65% from its last 52 week buy.Long term investors can venture out and opt for it at slightly lower levels.

2)Scripscan:Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd

Story:It supplies vital forgings to land and air defences, thermal plants, steel plants and the mining industry. RFL is in the approved panel of Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) for various forging items of railway coaches and wagons. That apart it also services other automotive companies like Hindustan Motors, Tata Motors and Bharat Eearth Movers. Apart from a strong domestic presence the company also exports to the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Japan. After coming off heavily last year the stock price has been steadily moving up.Currently priced at Rs 75 level this stock offers a good opportunity given the fundamental growth momentum of the company.

2)Scripscan:AVT Natural Products Ltd

Story:Look also at AVT Natural Products, which began as a 100% export oriented unit.It operates three strategic business units, which include, Marigold Oleoresins, Spice Oleoresin & Essential oil and Value Added Tea. It is one of the largest exporters of cured vanilla beans cultivated in its own estates and also the world’s largest exporter of marigold oleoresins. Its position in this segment has been strengthened through its association with two US companies, Ball Helix, the world’s best marigold seed company and Kemin Health, the largest global customer for Nutraceutical Grade Marigold Oleoresin. It has also integrated backwards, using the contract-farming model very effectively. In fact its contract farming model is regarded as one of the best in the industry.AVT enjoys some distinct operational synergies in terms of its location in the port city of Cochin. Proximity to the source of raw materials and logistical advantages enabling imports and exports is significant.None of the stocks mentioned here are sure bets merely because they are flying under the market’s radar. But they are good stocks with excellent growth record. The past does not always repeat itself but at least these companies have not come from nowhere as must be said about many high-flying stocks of today.
