Market outlook and Lotus Chocolate Company Ltd:Is it a buy/hold or sell?

There are no dearth of reasons why investors are panicking. A jobless recovery in the US, Fed mulling to roll back some of the schemes, reduced bank lending in China. The mask wearing public on airports and the thinning crowds in the malls makes you wonder why did you step out even as the farmer in distant Churu looks at his wilting bajra crop and questions his over optimism in sowing the seed merely on hopes of rains. The IIP data may have some cheer for the industrials when it is unveiled at around noon. If the data is better than expected you could get a momentary rise but there is an equal chance that the bears will use it as a prop for dare devil cliff diving. No marks for guessing the outcome if the statistics is less enthralling. There is slender support at 14786 in the Sensex, but it is likely to run over by the marauding bears. Continue to be in hiding.

1)Scripscan:Lotus Chocolate Company Ltd

Story:Lotus choclate has been a multibagger for me last year. These was one of the scrip which completely outperformed the market.Having a position at 6rs and exiting at 30 odd gave me immense satisafaction. So can it do wonders again?Lets have a reality check at the future prospects.Lotus Chocolate Company not only sells branded items directly to the consumers but also to food companies. Lotus supplies chocolate and cocoa products to chocolate makers ranging from local bakeries to multinational corporations. It has, among its clients, ITC Foods, HLL, Glaxo SmithKline Consumer Healthcare and Britannia. This part of the business will do very well with organised food companies expanding and numerous food courts coming up in malls, multiplexes and corporate campuses. Lotus runs a fully integrated manufacturing facility encompassing the entire process chain of chocolate making from cocoa processing to moulding and packaging. Its valuation, however, is far more attractive than that of other companies in these segment. The confectionary stocks have different flavours though. You know which one to go for.
