Kohinoor Foods Ltd:Buy/sell/hold/news/views/analysis

Scripscan:Kohinoor Foods Ltd

Story:The company, formerly known as Satnam Overseas Limited, was incorporated in 1989 and is based in New Delhi, India.Kohinoor Foods Limited engages in the production and wholesale of various food products in India. Its products include basmati rice, pulses, ghee, coffee, cashens, milk powder, sugar, spices, curries, coconut powder, wheat, and ready to eat food products. The company also offers ready to eat Indian curries, cook-in sauces, cooking paste, spices, seasonings, and frozen food. Kohinoor Foods markets its products through retail outlets, distributors, and stockists. It also has operations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Canada, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and other European countries. Kohinoor Foods is the company which is perceived more as a rice company, but it is also in entire gamete of the ready to eat foods. They make ready to eat food, frozen foods, spices and seasoning and cooking base and sauces. The company has extremely good distribution network in the domestic market, they have about 150 distributors and 600 stockists and the product is sold at more than 2.5 lakh retail outlets. The interesting part is that in the month of February 2009, promoters have increased their stake at a price of about Rs 78. So even if someone buys today it would be at a deep discount, he/she will make money if it is held on for a longer period of time.A good buy at dips too.
