Story:Infotech Enterprise provides a variety of services, like geographic information system (GIS) and engineering designs, for clients like Pratt & Whitney, Tele Atlas, Bombardier, etc. In 2008-09, it acquired a design company called Time to Market. This was supposed to enhance its presence in hi-tech industries. Recently, Infotech Enterprises Benelux BV, a step-down subsidiary, signed an agreement with the Dutch company, Volker Wessels Telecom, to provide services in telecom engineering. The company also signed a multi-year contract with inCONTROL TECH (iTEC) of Malaysia to implement an enterprise GIS information system for Tenga Nasional Berhad, the largest electric utility in Malaysia.The company has plans to add 500 more employees the existing strength of 7500.The company has a cash reserve of Rs 400 crore and is all set to acquire at least two companies from United State of America.The company hopes to have a turnover of over rs 1000cr in the present fiscal. Infotech’s valuation is reasonable.Currently trading at Rs259, its market-cap to sales and operating profit ratios are 2.5 times and 9.58, respectively, based on the September 2009 results. The September quarter was subdued but growth should resume soon.A good IT bet at present levels.
