Its products include texturised and twisted yarn of polyester synthetics, draw warped polyester filament yarn, and sized beams of polyester filament yarn. The company is based in Mumbai, India.Silvassa-based Supertex Industries is a yarn manufacturer. This company has been on a magical ride on the bourses. Between 31 October 2008 and 18 January 2010, the stock has surged 4140%! Who is buying, you wonder, if it’s not a money-laundering operation. In the December 2008 quarter, the company posted sales of Rs7.99 crore and operating profit of Rs48 lakh. However, in the March 2009 quarter, sales declined to Rs6 crore and it posted an operating loss of Rs78 lakh. In the June 2009 and September 2009 quarters, sales were Rs9.64 crore and Rs10.06 crore, respectively. However, in the same quarters, the company posted operating profit of Rs50 lakh and Rs39 lakh, respectively.Who knows with operators participation it may well hit dizzy heights of 7-8 even 10 but once stucked be rest assured it would turn out to be one of your biggest nightmares.Avoid buying craps and opt for better growth oriented companies suggested by myself to make a pot of money in the longer run.
