Hindustan Motors Ltd:-Buy/sell/hold,growth prospects and recomendation, news and results, target price and analysis, views and outlook

Scripscan:Hindustan Motors Ltd
Traded in:Nse-bse

Story:Landbank buzz vaulted hind motors to new heights, hind motor skyrockets to new high on land bank stuff. Some months ago these sort of news was one of the prime highlights which swayed people to invest their money in the counter. Now forget land bank as recession and softening of realty prices are going on,so whats in store of our very own Hind motors? The answer lies here itself.Would you buy an ambassador of hind motor or you would prefer a hyundai santro or even a maruti swift or an accent? The company is reeling under severe pressure with stiff competition, high input costs, labour problems etc.Who would bother to buy a CD of Santosh brand in lieu of the samsung one? That impeccably defines the condition of hind motors.India has got a population of over 115crs, 54% of the population being youths with modern and newer tastes. They would never even give a thought of owning something from hind motor. With all the above points, I expect hind motor to be a market underperformer.Fine with news like restructuring of operation, development of land bank,jv with a new partner can spirallise the stock but to me that would only be an oppurtunity to capitalise and exit. Also market may move up after consolidating a bit and with that many road dogs and hounds would move bigtime.Hindmotor wont be any exception too but it would be your duty to segregate the hounds from the roaddogs. So many better bets are available why to meddle with hind motor?.Everything old is not gold, isnt it folks?
