Story:Garware Polyester Limited produces polyester films in India. It principally offers plain polyester films that are used in food packing applications; labels, tickets, stationery, security and access cards, and general printing; metallising, stamping foil, labels, casting, release application, and thermal lamination; montage base and static protection; reprographics, overhead projection labels and photo sensitive coatings; electrical insulation, cable insulation, and general purpose applications; packaging, lamination, and metallising; for metal adhesion; and lidding application. The company’s other products include sun control film, an UV stabilised dyed polyester based film, designed to provide comfort from solar radiation; overhead projection transparency film used as presentation medium on overhead projectors; tracing and drafting film, a lacquered polyester film suitable for manual drawings (on boards), as well as pen plotter drawings; and metallized polyester film for packaging, printing and lamination, as well as for metallic yarn suitable for dyeing and knitting. Garware also operates in the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Brazil, and Australia.Company is likely to finalise sale of its Mumbai property for Rs 280 crs in next few weeks. In fact, now company may get much higher price as recently,Bandra Kurla Complex has witnessed rise in land prices. Scrip is being accumuated by knowledgeable investors. Value of property sale alone will work out to Rs 130/ per share. A leading BSE broker has reportedly cornered big chunk of its shares with price target of Rs 60-70/ in less than 9-12 months.
