Story:Ucal Fuel Systems Limited is a Chennai-based manufacturer of carburetors, fuel injection systems and automotive pumps.Ucal is presently setting up two new plants – one in Bawal, Haryana and another in the Mahindra World City in Chennai. These plants will produce a range of pumps and fuel injection products. The company is investing Rs 16 crore, equally divided between the two plants.The Bawal plant is to cater to existing and new customers in north India and is expected to fetch additional turnover of Rs 75 crore next financial year.The plant at Mahindra World City industrial estate is meant for exports. The company has secured orders from European and Mexican customers for fuel and vacuum pumps. The plant is expected to bring in sales of about Rs 20 crore next year.Ucal Fuel currently has 10 manufacturing units in India, including three in Chennai and one each in Puducherry and Gurgaon, supplying fuel injection systems for carburetors for two-wheelers and fuel injection parts and pumps for four-wheelers for automobile majors like Bajaj, Hero Honda, TVS, Suzuki and Yamaha.The company is targeting to sustain the 25% growth in sales. In addition to consolidating the business in two wheeler segment it plans to introduce new technologies\products for the four wheeler segment. Ucal is also gearing up to become a global supplier in vacuum pumps & oil pumps.The management expects exports to account for 25% of sales and atleast 12 to 15% of total sales to come from products developed in house. Ucal Fuel reported revenues of Rs 400 crore in the last financial year, and expects to cross the Rs 500-crore mark this fiscal on the back of additional supplies to TVS and Hero Honda.The company is expected to deliver an EPS of rs 7.6 this fiscal.At present prices of 68 its quoting at less than 9 PE its forward earnings.Looking at the robust great prospects and potential, Ucal merits an investment at dips.
