Story:Swaraj Engines Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of diesel engines in India. The company supplies 5 types of engines from 20HP range to 50HP range. It also offers various diesel engine components and spare parts.For Fy11, in terms of best topline growth, Q4 was its best but in terms of bottomline, Q3 was its best. For Q4FY11, sequentially, on a 27% rise in topline, net profit was down 20%.And this could be attributed to the rise in operating costs,interest outgo and even taxation. OPM was at 16.27% and NPM at 11.42% , its lowest during FY11.For Fy11, topline rose 28% while bottomline was up 20%.Clearly the company is doing well due to improved demand from its key customer -- Swaraj Division of Mahindra & Mahindra.It sold 47413 engines during FY11, up 21%, its highest ever annual sales volume.With a reserves of Rs.140 crore and with demand rising from M&M, the company has chalked out plans to further expand its capacity from 60,000 engines per annum to 75,000 engines per annum.The entire capex plan of Rs.55 crore is to be met from internal accruals. Promoters hold 50.62% of its equity, of which 33.22% is held by M &M and balance 17.39% by Kirloskar Industries.Its expanding capacities to meet the heavy demand from mahindra&mahindra.The company is a debt free entity having nearly 100 bucks per share investment in books.The company is a good hold at present prices.
