A severe horrible accident

Recently had a severe accident where my two-wheeler skidded off with decent speed resulting wounds in different places.The neck is in pretty bad shape since then .Had a NCP and a MRI scan done which suggest it to be "Compressive Myelopathy".I have nearly lost my balance in the body with little energy left.The pessimistic family doc(man he went nervous diagnosing me) has immediately ordered a surgery or else he fears I will lose the ability to move or walk.Now am really fortunate to possess lot of doctor readers.Before I act I want views from you folks related to this aspect.Any views/suggestion/ideas/inputs would be highly appreciated as I contemplate to move to either vellore or Chennai in no time for the same.

 btw:This bed rest is really pissing me off a great deal.Laptop and cell being the best buddies now.Oh ya-Happy Navratri and Durga puja guys.Enjoy to the most extreme.
